Petition-Signing Drop In
This is the time of year when we collect petition-signatures in order to get our candidates on the ballot.
We are holding a Petition Signing Drop In session from 10 to Noon on Saturday, March 9 at the St Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church (700 Pleasure Rd) so voters in Manheim Township can sign our candidates’ petitions.
Each of our five school board candidates and our two commissioner candidates need signatures from voters who are registered Democrats and residents of Manheim Township for their names to appear on the May primary ballot.
School board candidates can cross-file to run on both the Democratic and Republican ballots since decisions about our schools and our children are supposed to be above party affiliation. Therefore, we could really use our Republican friends and neighbors to drop by on Saturday to meet the candidates and sign a petition to place them on the Republican ballot.
As usual, goodies will be served.
Special Announcement: our County Commissioner, Craig Lehman will be joining us. Craig is running for a third term as our County Commissioner. Come and talk to Craig, our favorite County Commissioner.
Our two Township commissioner candidates are Barry Kauffman and Allison Troy. Our five MT school board candidates are incumbents, JoAnn Hentz and Janet Carroll, and Teddy Vasquez, Courtney Morton, and Sara Grosh.
Come, join the party, talk to the candidates and sign petitions.
