Dr. John Smith On the November Ballot for MT School Board
The Manheim Township Democratic Committee is happy to announce that it is adding Dr. John Smith to the November 2nd ballot for a two-year position on the Manheim Township School Board. Dr. Smith holds a Doctorate in Education from Widener University, he brings with him many years experience as an educator and principal, and more than three years’ experience on the Manheim Township School Board already.
Dr. Smith is being added to the ballot now because of the resignation of Sara Grosh from the Manheim Township School Board in August. As Ms. Grosh had two years remaining in her term, Dr. Smith is now running to finish out that two-year term, thereby seeking to extend his time on the School Board. Despite receiving much support from Manheim Township voters, Dr. Smith fell short in the 2021 Primary Election. The Manheim Township Democratic Committee is excited to add Dr. Smith to the ballot in time for the November 2nd election.
Dr. Smith has successfully served on the Manheim Township School Board since he was first elected in 2017. He counts the construction of the new middle school—on time and under budget—as one of the foremost accomplishments of his time on the School Board. In addition, he is proud of the work he has done to keep taxes low during his tenure.
