According district maps drawn this year, most of Manheim Township is now within the 96th PA House District, while the easternmost areas of Manheim Township are in the 97th PA House District. Mike Sturla Pens LNP Op-Ed on Abortion Rights
In his July 17 Op-Ed, State Representative Mike Sturla draws attention to the efforts of Republican state lawmakers to set the stage for banning abortion in Pennsylvania by amending the state constitution. Mike suggests that we must elect Democratic candidates to the General Assembly this November to protect abortion rights.

MT Dems, our very own Tom O’Brien, former Manheim Township School Board Member and Manheim Township Commissioner, has been elected to serve as the next Lancaster County Democratic Chair! Tom brings much experience in local office, campaign experience, and administrative ability to our county party.

A lot hangs in the balance in the 2022 election: the future of reproductive rights in this country, fair and equal voting rights, as well as justice for those who planned and participated in the January 6 Insurrection.
Petition Signing Parties
Every year candidates need voters in their district to sign petitions to get them on the ballot for the primary election (May 17, 2022). The first petition signing party is on Saturday, March 5 from 10 to Noon. The second petition signing party is on Saturday, March 12 from 10 to Noon. Both parties are at St Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church (700 Pleasure Rd Lancaster, PA 1701). Drop in at any time.
New Fundraising Chair Brings Ambitious Goals
MT Dems, our new fundraising chair and former candidate for Commissioner, Stella Sexton, has set ambitious goals for 2022 and 2023 and she needs your help to reach those goals.
